Brief Description: class meets 8:30-4:30 on Aug 29, Sep 19, Oct 10, 31, Nov 21, Dec 12

Full Description: This semi-independent study course consists of a balance of regularly scheduled peer group discussion sessions and the development of individual projects. Areas covered in the discussions and projects will focus heavily on human resource management, administration, multi-agency emergency services delivery and safety. Areas specifically covered will include: grievance administration, training and educational goal setting and planning, employee assistance programs, incentive programs, community event planning, long-range planning, and civil disturbance and disaster planning. In order to project a professional image in the classroom, students should wear appropriate attire or their department daily uniform.

FOIV Certification Prerequisites: To certify to this level, candidates must hold a valid Fire Officer III Certification before ANY Fire Officer IV testing (including Practical) if applicable.
