This introductory VIRTUAL class will discuss structure protection strategies in the wildland-urban interface/intermix (WUI) for structure fire departments with particular attention to WUI awareness, structural triage concepts, and strategies and tactics for Connecticut WUI environment, including engagement requirements, priorities, and strike team/task force applications.

Instructor Bio:
Interim Chief Renshaw brings decades of experience in firefighting and leadership. A National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer graduate and wildland firefighter since 2000, he has been on the front lines of large-scale incidents across North America. His expertise in natural resources and wildland-urban interface/intermix firefighting strategies makes this a must-attend class for anyone working in Connecticut and New England’s wildland-urban interface environments.
