Brief Description: Class meets 8:30am-4:30pm on Sep 19, 20, Oct 3, 4, 17, 18, 31, Nov 1, 14, 15 PCE

Full Description: Fire Officer I is a comprehensive course designed to strengthen the new or aspiring fire officer’s supervisory and leadership skills. Emergency and routine duties of the company officer will be discussed. Oriented to the level of Lieutenant, topics covered in this course include: human resource management, community and government relations, public education, safety, inspection and investigation and emergency service delivery. Students will spend limited time in a fire command simulator during the emergency service delivery section of the course.

Prerequisites: I agree to the Drop Policy: Any refund request must be submitted to cfa-support@ct.gov at least seven (7) days prior to the start of a program to receive a full refund.

FOI Class Prerequisites:  NONE
FOI Certification Prerequisites:  To certify to this level, candidates must hold valid Firefighter II Certification and Fire Service Instructor I Certifications before ANY Fire Officer I (FOI) testing (including Practical) if applicable.
