Brief Description: Class meets 8:30am-4:30pm on Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, Dec 6, 13 PCE

Full Description: This course is designed to meet the first level of Fire Service Instructor as identified in the NFPA 1041 standard. Topics covered during the course include: adult learning and communication, understanding performance objectives, evaluation, and methods of instruction. Students will present from a prepared lesson plan. Study and support materials are online. Access to a computer with internet access is mandatory. Homework assignments and formative assessments will be completed and submitted online.
Successful completion of this course will prepare the student to take the Fire Service Instructor I Practical Skills and Written Certification Examinations.

Prerequisites: I agree to the Drop Policy: Any refund request must be submitted to cfa-support@ct.gov at least seven (7) days prior to the start of a program to receive a full refund.
FSI-I CLASS Prerequisites:  NONE
CERTIFICATION Prerequisites:  To certify to this level, candidates must hold a valid Firefighter II Certification before ANY FSI-I testing (including Practical), if applicable.
