Vehicle Extrication - Rescue Technician - Vehicle I/II - CPAT Ctr - 26: Nov 16-19, 23, 24 PCE

Full Description: This five-day course meets the requirements of Chapters 8 and 9 of NFPA 1006 Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications, 2021 edition. Through classroom and practical sessions the student will plan for vehicle incidents; conduct a size-up; establish scene safety zones; control hazards; perform required stabilization; create access and egress points; disentangle victims; remove the packaged victims; and terminate the incident.

Prerequisites: I agree to the Drop Policy: Any refund request must be submitted to cfa-support@ct.gov at least seven (7) days prior to the start of a program to receive a full refund.
CLASS Prerequisites: None
CERTIFICATION Prerequisites: To certify to this level, candidates must hold a valid Firefighter II Certification before ANY Vehicle I/II testing (including Practical), if applicable.

Reporting Instructions: PPE required: Full fire fighter PPE (No SCBA) or coveralls with ankle high foot ware, extrication gloves, eye protection, hard hat with chin strap or tech rescue helmet, ankle height footwear. No Shorts.
