Brief Description: Meets 8:30am to 4:30pm on October 29 & 30 and November 5 & 6

Full Description: This is an entry-level course that will prepare anyone who performs public education duties to present existing programs to all audiences. The course addresses fire prevention activities, the major causes of unintentional injury, characteristics of learning, evaluation of lesson plans, presentation methods, effective usage of audiovisual aids, dealing with the media and recordkeeping. This course meets the requirements of NFPA 1035, "Professional Qualifications for Public Fire and Life Safety Educator I". Reference material is required for the class.

Prerequisites: I agree to the Drop Policy: Any refund request must be submitted to cfa-support@ct.gov at least seven (7) days prior to the start of a program to receive a full refund.
