CFA LMS is designed to facilitate the scheduling of courses, testing and retention of records by CFA. This website will give you access to the current available training and testing, and enable authorized users to register for courses administered by CFA.
PORTAL ACCOUNT INFORMATION
PORTAL ACCOUNT REGISTRATION PROCESS
ALL NEW USERS MUST REQUEST A PORTAL ACCOUNT
Fill out and submit a "Portal Account Request"
-We suggest you use an email that you can readily access and receive timely notifications on. Additionally you should be able to access your email if you change employers. Once your account has been approved you will receive notification to your email.
Do not submit more than one request, and do not use this form if you have an Acadis account.
UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION
Upon logging in, use the MANAGE PROFILE tab to edit your mailing address, telephone numbers, email addresses, and emergency contact information.
NOTE: Your email address will be your Portal Account username; any changes made to your primary email address may affect your ability to login to the CFA Portal.
You must contact CFA-Support@ct.gov to update your organization/employment. Do not submit a new portal account request. You will not be contacted.
LOCKED ACCOUNTS
Your account will be locked at your 5th unsuccessful login attempt.
If your account is locked, you must contact CFA-Support@ct.gov to unlock your account. Do not submit a new portal account request. Submitting a new form will not unlock your account, and you will not be contacted.
TRAINING & CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
Without logging in you can view most training and certification testing. See the Resources table to your right and click on “Available Training." In order to register for any training classes, you must have a portal account and be signed in.
COMMISSION ON FIRE PREVENTION AND CONTROL/CONNECTICUT FIRE ACADEMY PAYMENT POLICY:
Purchase orders are accepted from Municipalities, Fire Departments, Fire Companies, Fire Districts, and private companies for payment of service Net 45 days.
Individual registrants are required to pay in full at the time of registration for all service, course, and certification testing fees. This ensures that your spot in the event is secured and allows the Academy to efficiently manage resources and planning.
CFA CANCELLATION POLICIES:
CPAT REFUND POLICY
The CPAT 5-day testing fee is $175.00, and the CPAT Special Session (1 day - test day only) fee is $125. If you need to withdraw/cancel from a class, utilize the Acadis Portal. Log into the Acadis Portal, navigate to the class/CPAT session, and cancel your registration. This communication must be received at least two (2) days prior to the candidate’s first scheduled orientation and two (2) days before a Special Session CPAT.
Requests for refunds (5 day only) received after the candidate’s first orientation date will not be considered. Special exceptions may be applied under the direction of the State Fire Administrator and/or the Director of Training. Please note that refunds may take up to 30 days.
ALL OTHER TRAINING CLASSES
If you need to withdraw from a class, utilize the Acadis Portal. Log into the portal, navigate to the class, and cancel your registration. Registration/enrollment must be cancelled at least seven (7) days prior to the start of a program to receive a full refund.
ALL CERTIFICATION TESTS
Candidates that are unable to attend a scheduled examination shall reschedule the examination at least ten days in advance of the next available examination for the level sought.
Those candidates that do not cancel in the Acadis system will be marked as "no show." Any fees paid will be forfeited, and a re-exam fee will be attached to the next scheduled attempt.
VIEWING WRITTEN EXAMINATION SCORES AND CERTIFICATES
Results should be posted 5 – 7 days after the examination or class ends. Certification certificates should be available for printing approximately three weeks after testing. Log into your account and scroll down until you see the “Completed Training” box and click on the box. In the next window, go to the examination or class you took and click on the “PRINT” button. Click on “transcript” and your scores will show, or click on Diploma to view and print your certificate

Directions for enhanced permissions:
- Sign into the portal.
- Click on Academy Resources.
- Click on WebForms.
- Click on Fire Department/Organization Portal Enhancement Authorization.
- Complete the form and click submit.
Everyone you list on the form must have an active account.
Once your account has been upgraded you will have access to all information and personnel records associated with your agency. Additional Training will be delivered to familiarize you with your role and the functions of the Acadis system via email.
